Udip Das

Udip is a postgraduate student at IIT Bombay, pursuing his Master's in Public Policy and Administration. He is passionate about climate change and the study of the impacts of urbanization on natural ecosystems through a policy perspective and has developed an affinitive liking towards complex anthropological interventions.

Currently, he is working on climate change governance in the Sundarbans region, utilizing a Living Lab approach. His research aims to address issues of climate resilience and socially inclusive solutions. Through this project, he intends to explore the potential of a Living Lab to address these issues in the Sundarbans region.

Udip's academic background includes an undergraduate degree in Urban Planning and a postgraduate degree in Environmental Planning and Management from the School of Planning and Architecture Bhopal and the School of Planning and Architecture Delhi, respectively.

With his expertise in management consulting, Udip has demonstrated his ability to work in research industries and various state government departments. His focus on climate change, revenue augmentation, large-scale strategizing, and government advisory has led him to work on projects with esteemed organizations like KPMG, World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.

Udip maintains a lifelong passion for music and music-based communities. Being a musician himself, he has co-founded a not-for-profit organization called "The Livingroom Sessions", which essentially provides a platform for new and upcoming musicians looking for a medium to showcase their art. He continues to work on initiatives by local musicians.
